We at Petmoves wanted to take some time to explain a little further our Pet Import Consultancy process for you as a kind of guide. While it’s possible to actually run an Australian import transport yourself using the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources Website, it can however be quite confusing and you still need to ensure you grab all the forms and informational processes that come from the site and sections mentioned, you also don’t have anybody to ask except to contact the Department directly yourself, which can be a problem if it’s a simple enough question.
As can be seen below, with Our basic The Do-It-Yourself Plan, you receive the Petmoves Australian Canine Import Guide Overview which is the basics of what needs to be done to prepare for the Import Process as well as Phase One of the Australian Pet Import Guide. Also included in the Australian Pet Import Guide Overview are some easy to follow instructional ideas to aid you to be able to plan and operate the Import or Export yourself following the Guide we provide.
Also part of the Guide Overview is some import and interesting information which explains that the import process of a pet that has not been vaccinated for Rabies will take approximately 9 months, while a pet that has been vaccinated you would be looking at approximately 7 months to complete the Import, provided of course all things go to plan, which is why we are here.
It should be noted as well, that the whole Import Guide is broken down into Three Phases each with approximate timeframes listed:
- Phase One – from commencement of import process to up to 5 months before export date
- Phase Two – from 5 months to 3 months before export date
- Phase Three – last 3 months before export
In an endeavour to ensure that our Clients do not suffer information overload, we distributed each of the Phases separately and one at a time, with each of the Phases, where paperwork is needed for specific things, these documents are included as PDF files along with the information needed, so you don’t need to go chasing anything online in most cases, as the forms are already available. The guide is fully designed to provide you with all the paperwork or examples needed to make the process easy for yourself and far less stressful.
Also, in an endeavour to aid our Clients and give them an area to liaise directly with the Petmoves family, we have created a special Clients Project Management Area that ALL clients, will be given access to and may use for themselves. In using this online Project Management area, it is designed to assist you with keeping the processes in hard copy and online in case something happens, if your involved in the DIY version, if you need us to step in an assist you for part or the remainder of the Import/Export we can see exactly what stage you’re at which allows us to assist you quickly. If we are doing the whole process for you, then it gives and your Exporter (or Importer if more than one) the ability to log in and see what needs to be done next, or note that a specific task has already been performed in the whole process plan.
This Petmoves Import/Export Management System allow allows the client and their Exporter/Importer if they wish to be able to communicate directly through the Discussions area, along with Petmoves managers to be able to see what is being discussed in case it is possible for us to answer a question that may have been raised by either party. It also allows Petmoves Management to mark each task as completed as they are done, allows direct support tickets to be raised by either of the parties specifically related to the Import/Export and keeps all communications in the one location regarding a specific Import/Export to or From Australia without the need to send emails or submit questions via the website form.
In an endeavour to make sure that Petmoves Managers are accessible in as many ways as possible, and will be implementing other phone and online applications specifically for this task to ensure that we are always reachable in one way or another and so you never feel as if we are unable to be contacted.
