By Sean @ Petmoves |October 24th, 2022

Some excellent news came from the Department of Agriculture on 21 October 2022 regarding the removal of the need for Live Dog Imports to have blood tests for Ehrlichia canis blood tests.

The Department has advised that because “Ehrlichia canis has [been] detected in Australia and is now considered to be established”.

From 1 November 2022, the department will remove the requirement for serological testing for E. canis for live dogs prior to import to Australia.

This good news for Importers.
